2017 “The Conjurer” is 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Cabernet Franc, and 21% Merlot from the Columbia Valley AVA. The 2017 Conjurer was aged for 12 months in 25% new French oak. Hailing almost exclusively from Estate Blocks in the Walla Walla, Red Mountain, and Horse Heaven Hills AVA’s, t his wine shows tremendous weight and concentration, while holding on to its elegance. The mouth-filling palate and medium-weight, fleshy tannins, are buoyed by food-friendly acid and a long, long finish. This wine has a gorgeous nose dominated by herbal notes from the Cabernet Franc, as well as savory Christmas spices, like nutmeg and cinnamon, and a flavor profile of dark fruit, like plum and blackberries.
