Although most vodkas are distilled from grains (wheat, rye, etc.), potato vodka has a long tradition in Poland. Stylistically, potato vodkas tend to have a creamier mouthfeel compared to their leaner, grain fermented counterparts. This produces a bit more character and it really comes through in cocktails. One of our favorite potato vodkas is Sava. It has that more viscous profile that we typically want in our potato vodkas, but it remains exceptionally smooth. And, hey, it's also gluten-free!
